OUR CONFIDENCE FUEL.
The Reason.
Easter is not just a date on the calendar.
It is the reason we believe at all.
Because if there was no resurrection, what would we really be holding on to?
Sometimes I sit with it deeply.
That the Son of God carried our sins, all of it. The weight. The shame. Every single thing we have done and will ever do, and still chose the cross.
Because the Father so loved the world, He gave.
Not held back. Not loaned.
Gave.
So that everyone who believes will not perish.
But live. Forever.
And because of that, we now have access to the Father.
Just like that. Access.
Read Leviticus and you will understand why that word should stop you cold.
Nothing was taken lightly. Every sin had a consequence, every mistake had a cost. The altar was never empty. The blood never stopped flowing.
So what does it mean that Jesus paid it all?
The altar is finished.
Glory. Hosanna to Him who laid down His life, even though He is Life Himself.
So that I will live forever and reign with Him.
And because He lives forever, my faith is not a feeling I manage.
It is a certainty I stand on.
Not religion. Not tradition. A Person who conquered death and is alive forevermore.
So you want to replace that with a bunny and some eggs?
No. Absolutely not.
Easter is not a holiday. It is the heartbeat of everything, proof that we serve a God who does not stay dead, who lives, reigns, and is coming back.
